Download the Tor Web browser and then use grams or not Evil as your search engine.
That is the high-level way to get onto the dark web, but it is a bit more nuanced than that, so let us dive in.
The Tor Browser allows you to browse the normal internet and the hidden or dark web. The Tor Browser connects you to the Tor network run by thousands of volunteers around the world. Unlike a VPN, there is no one point of failure or centralized entity you need to trust to enjoy the internet privately. So basically, for each domain you visit, your traffic is relayed and encrypted in a circuit across three Tor relays around the world. No website knows where you are connecting from.
Click on this link or go to torproject.org to download the browser to your PC.
When the download is complete, double click the .exe file. Complete the installation wizard process.
During the installation it will ask you if you want to start the Tor Browser, say yes, and then when the new screen pops up, say connect. Do not worry about the configure tab, that is beyond the scope of this blog post, in essence, if you are in a country where Tor is blocked, you can configure Tor to connect to a bridge during the setup process by selecting “Tor is censored in my country.”
The first thing to understand is that on the hidden web, you do not know about a website unless that website is shared with you. So, I am breaking the code now.
Kidding, but the first bit is true, whenever you see a URL like http:// http://3dbr5t4pygahedms.onion/, that is a Tor Onion service. Now that particular website is a nasty one, it’s the ccPal Store. For the uninitiated, they are the ccPal hackers’ group. They will sell you 100 credit cards for $150 and you pay for it with… you guessed it, bitcoin. (It is probably a scam, for them to steal your bitcoin, so don’t do it – you still need to use common sense on the dark web, probably more so than on the clear web.)
I just wanted to get that out the way, if you want obscene porn and fetishes, audio of people being tortured or a way to buy guns then yes you will get it all here, but the dark web is more than stolen credit cards, leaked info and porn. The dark web is a massive repository of information, information that is unfiltered and unpolitical by nature. If used right, then you can enhance your life by learning new things and absorbing knowledge beyond measure.
This ain’t google, bitch.
Sorry got a little bit carried away there, but it is a great Segway into how you find stuff on the dark web. Remember that I said .onion websites are shared amongst people, there is no search engine that can index stuff. Whatever search engine exists are maintained by volunteers and probably at best covers 1% of the dark web.
For a beginner, I would suggest you use “not Evil” as your search engine by going to this website: http://hss3uro2hsxfogfq.onion/
However, my recommendation would be to join a dark web forum and get some skin in the game. If you stick around here long enough you will get to know some places and start to see where everyone goes.
Again, it being the dark web; some forums are safe like Onion Land which you can access here: onionlandbakyt3j.onion
Onion Land is a forum that has topics of all things dark web-related, but it’s a little less in your face criminal activity like for instance say “The Green Machine” where I can buy your email address and credit card for $1.
Anyway, the point is, hang where the crowd is and for the love of God, please do not give in and do illegal stuff, I just want you to settle in and get a feel for how it all works in order for you to become comfortable and able to find the content you are genuinely interested in.
For example, I enjoy chemistry and one of the best places on the internet is a forum called "das chemical", but you will never find it on Google, it's a forum that exists purely in the dark web.
To sum it up: Dark websites look pretty much like any other site, but there are important differences. One is the naming structure. Instead of ending in .com or .co, dark web sites end in .onion. That’s “a special-use top-level domain suffix designating an anonymous hidden service reachable via the Tor network.

I do not want to leave you with the impression that everything on the dark web is nefarious or illegal. The Tor network began as an anonymous communications channel, and it still serves a valuable purpose in helping people communicate in environments that are hostile to free speech.
A lot of people use it in countries where there’s eavesdropping or where internet access is criminalized.
That said, please do not do illegal stuff on there. My sole purpose is to share knowledge, however, what you do with that knowledge is on you.

The internet is full of restrictions, censorship, privacy invasions, security breaches, and a host of unwanted entities trafficking in your personal data. Using a VPN is a great first step toward protecting your privacy online. Privacy is fundamental to a well-functioning society because it allows norms, ethics, and laws to be safely discussed and challenged. Without privacy, a free and open society can neither flourish nor exist.Read Article
