I solve problems for a living

Business Consultant :: PHP Developer :: InfoSec :: DevOps

I aim to make a difference in businesses, to help them rediscover their vision, increase their success and reach their full potential.

#Ideas & Innovation

Finding ideas to make a reality is an honest passion and drives me with determination to make a success of it.

Ideas will come from various aspects of life as I explore what makes people and the world go around. Many times an idea is unconfined to just my industry or your industry but somewhere in between which is yet to be found. This creates an opportunity for anyone to bring innovation to the table.

I like imagining what a benefit these ideas will bring to the environment around us, hence I am so open to hearing new ideas no matter how impossible it may seem at first. The vision was there and a prospect created. It is these ideas that can excel us to other platforms and a plethora more which makes it so exciting.

Successes of innovations will rely solely on the determination and how much you believe in what you are doing. I apply this to everything I approach.

#People & Teams

One of the things I like to remember on a daily basis is everyone knows something that I do not. Every person I meet can hold an idea I can make a success of. For them, for me, and the betterment of our surroundings.

Working in accordance with someone else’s views can open you up to many new ones. This is the same for working in teams. It multiplies the creativity and the capabilities going around and bouncing off of each other, new ideas created on tangents.

Helping people realize that this creativity is within them gives them a chance to adventure further in their business and personally. The satisfaction of seeing people step out of their comfort zone to pursue their new founded potential is equal to personal success.

Giving people just an occasion that will inspire them to seek more and to succeed is a personal mission I strive for with family, friends, co-workers, and the neighbor down the street.

#Philosophy & Views

To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift. - Steve Prefontaine

Always seek knowledge and wisdom. The two mutually reinforce one another.

Seek knowledge: Read books, watch TV documentaries, the News, travel the world. However, always remember to allow wisdom to guide your interpretation of such knowledge.

See the world with insight- don't take it at face value. When you see the stars in the night sky, know that you are literally looking back tens of thousands of years into the past. When you come across historic ruins or buildings, know that people like you once lived, worked, and played there. See the world through a "3rd Eye", you'll appreciate it more.

Force all DNS traffic to go through Pi-hole using Mikrotik

The following mikrotik firewall rules will force all the clients on your local network like your Sony PlayStation and Google Chromecast to use your Pi-hole or your own local server as their primary DNS server, even if they have hard coded their own DNS servers we do this because many apps and devices do not use the offered DNS servers per DHCP, they are just that – an offer. Hardcoded DNS servers will still resolve and allow ads and tracking unless we use NAT rules that will redirect all DNS requests, no matter where they go, to the Pihole.
